Ah the memories!!! I was into these movies, big time, growing up. I was always trying to hang out with my brother and these movies were a connection between us (he loved scary movies and from very young, I could not tolerate them- just too upsetting... I know that's weird but true).

Anyway, we saw anything and everything that was shown in Southern California during our youth. My favorite, perhaps because it was hookie, was the TV series, "Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot" or as I called it just simply, "Giant Robot."

My all-time favorite monster came from this show- it was this flying eyeball that had its eye lids. It would fly around with its optical nerve dangling below it. When Giant Robot fights it, he punches it and the eye blinks. I used to howl!!! I'm still not quite sure what the eye was supposed to do to get Giant Robot... wink at him???
