I totally agree with the comments made about the lead singer with The Platters, Tony Williams. What a voice, but I don't think I've ever seen his name pop up on those various lists of the greatest pop/rock singers of the the 20th century. Ridiculous! And how about Ben E. King? I remember hearing a radio interview with him where he was recalling the days when he used to sing on street corners. Great stuff! |
