I thought the Corkscrew album was okay-ish. There was a vaguely similar band a few years later called Jumpleads. It seems that such artists felt folk songs would benefit from being backed with funk or reggae arrangements I must have a high tolerance for folk rock, as I found Scafell Pike's "Lord's Rake" to be listenable. Some ghastly vocal affectations, though. I think they released 5 or 6 albums in all, but it would appear that this was the only one with mostly trad songs Can anyone think of any other such bands? A favourite of mine was Spud, actually
