Woven Wheat Whispers - New Albums 20th December 2005

First, a very Merry Christmas / Yule season to all readers. Thanks to the supporters, artists and buyers who have helped us go from an email idea to nearly a hundred albums in the catalogue within just a few weeks. 2006 bodes to be a great year for the service and hopefully for our collaborative efforts to help promote folk music and the community.


For our pre-Christmas selection we have seventeen new albums (plus a free one) from:

- The Band From County Hell    (five albums of feisty Celtic folk)

- Bill Furner   (a fantastic discovery, a stunning folk guitarist. Three albums plus a free to download six track sampler of full length/quality tracks. Also available four extra Christmas free downloads at his page)

- Dave Gibb (four albums of varied and accomplished acoustic folk)

- Kwannon   (wonderful pagan / harp experimental folk)

- Penda's Fen   (early Fairport's styled folk-rock band)

- Tom Veldran   (60s styled psychedelic folk)

- Twelve Thousand Days    (Martyn Bates (Eyeless In Gaza) and Alan Trench (Orchis) combined on two classic early 2000s experimental folk / psychedelic traditional albums)
