A lumber is my favourite thing in the world. It's when you "get off" with somebody... i.e. a one night stand / whatever you call it where you are from. However, a one night stand sugggests to me that you have sex, whereas a lumber could just be a kiss and a cuddle. We also call a kiss of this sort a "winch", which I think is called a snog in England.

If I had my way I would go through my life with a series of lumbers, and life would be great ! Well, maybe not. Anyway, that's what a lumber is in Glasgow and my mum would often ask " did ye get a lumber ?" after a night out.

I wonder if I will ever get a lumber again !!!
