Back when I first started working in radio, one of the creative groups sent out a funny little vignette about a station manager telling his staff that they were changing formats to the hottest thing in music "Punk Country". He played an example, and although it is many years ago, I still remember how it began: I wanna kick your cow C'mon and show me how Frankly, I don't think it is too different from some "real" country songs. (one of the titles on the country song list referenced by Midchuck reminded me).
