I tried the cassette adapter route but got bad "feedback" from the engine's electronics. I was going to go the radio route but the reproduction can only be as good as an FM radio station, with associated interference etc. So I now have the permanent wired connection into the car stereo just like new cars are being supplied with. It's the same as having a lead to connect the iPod to the main hifi system at home. cheers, Terry
