I rent an office from a cleaning company so I posed your question to the owner. She uses the Electrolux Boss for all her crews. The reason being that she's tried all kinds of different vacuums and found very little difference in what the machine did. She said more money meant more weight generally, but no more efficiency. She also pointed out that if you pay $2000 for a Dyson you could buy 35 Electrolux Bosses for the same money. If you threw one away every year for 34 years you'd still be money ahead and always using new equipment. Sounds reasonable to me.
