Hello everyone, Woven Wheat Whispers - New Albums 11th January 2006 We have now made available our first selection of new albums for the 2006. The start of the year has been a busy one with a number of initiatives building added benefit from the service and awareness of the artists in the folk community. The albums from this week are from: - Adrian May - Cluster of Nuts - Dan Webster - enQ - Fiddlin' Around - Jenny Beck (two albums) - Lorraine Jordan (two albums) - Nightwatch - WoodworX Artist links with reviews, pictures, audio, web pages etc as always at: http://www.wovenwheatwhispers.co.uk/Label-News.htm We have huge interest for releases in the last few weeks as Woven Wheat Whispers is now becoming known across the folk community. As always free promo releases for review are always available just ask via the 'contact' link at the site (not by reply to this email) and we'll send you a free link. New artists always continue to be sought for current, forthcoming and back catalogue releases in the UK and around the world. Feel free to post this email, forward it and distribute around the industry, on your web sites, blogs etc (and if you do, you count as a promoter).. Other service features - We have introduced the new music companion, a page that plays music drawn from the service automatically. This can be placed in the background while you browse the site or internet and if you like a track, click to read more about the artist. - Another feature is our new discussion forum, designed for any service users to discuss folk music, the folk year, new releases and events or off-topic. - Our 'Folk Year' feature is proving very popular - we are progressively including each custom of the year. So far we have covered many January customs such as Plough Monday, Whittlesea Straw Bear, Haxey Hood, Twelfth Night and others. If interested, do check this area regularly as we are constantly adding to it. - Feel free to submit links for our new 'folk community' page - these can be folk clubs, labels, shops, performers, folk dance, artists etc. - We have recently supported the new 'folkcast' service, an online radio show with discussion, features and music that can also be downloaded to hear off-line, on your music player etc. Links for all of these available using the news web page listed above. The service is growing and we hope these new features are interesting and useful. All the best for the new year. Cheers LL
