It sounds like Obie's repair is for a bowed neck and would not help a lot in Richard's case. The neck reset can be used to correct the action when the guitar body itself is distorted. Richard, it seems to me that you don't really need the article, your memory of the quicky repair seems reasonable, assuming that the neck actually is reasonably straight. Just make sure the glue you use has good gap filling properties. I would use epoxy. I don't know what araldite is, must by British. What have you got to lose?
