Do you mean Catalonia, Lady Penelope? Or, in the Catalan language (Catala) Catalunya? They are grailles - part of the family of bombardes, but different! You kept refering to "giants" - the Catalans build incredible towers of people, called (I think) castellets. Sometimes these castellets may reach five or even six, each one standing on another one's shoulders. I saw these in south-western France, and the grailles played a fanfare. Amazing stuff!
