As mentioned "Johnson" guitars seem to be the new "Blueridges". Big quality construction, woods, etc. Seem to be creating quite a stir. Don't know if you get them across the Pond-but they may be worth looking at (the Carolina series). Don't like Laminated guitars-have yet to find one I thought was really good. Thats me. See where Blueridge isn't offering the under 2k Brazilian one anymore. Guess like Martin, they ran out of Braz. Mostly stumpwood or slab as I could detemine-although they looked purty!
