He means we had a brilliant evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Loadsa good singing, fine joining-in audience and good food.

Haggis (my first - ahh) piped in. John piped up (but told to shut up till it was his turn)!!

And we all got a complimentary dram o Scotch to pour over our haggis or savour on its own.

Only thing though - didn't get a chance to find out if Scotland's national dress was being worn traditionally.
