Yer right about networks having no patience these days--too much competition from cable, small fish (like UPN &WB-which are now merging or something?), etc. etc. etc.

Have to kinda agree with SINSULL's take-somebody trying a bit too hard to be "controversial". After all the negative pre-pub, though-easy to understand. I guess my take on it being all over the map plot and character wise does basically make it "poorly written"-but I think it couldda been good if it settled in.
