As a small child, I was obsessed with Star Blazers. I haven't seen it since 1982 and I never did get hooked on anime the way some people seem to (I was a Voltron fan later but that didn't do any permanent damage, either). I probably watched Transformers the most, although my mother didn't like it. The series I liked best from the Eighties were Transformers and Smurfs. The other series that I remember but didn't usually watch include the Littles, Shirt-Tails, Muppet Babies (never did like that one), Thundercats, He-Man/She-Ra, My Little Ponies, and G.I. Joe, which pretty much dates me as an official Child of the Eighties. I've been a devoted watcher of the Simpsons for years, and I like King of the Hill. I recently picked up some Betty Boop, Felix the Cat, and Superman for $1 a DVD at Target. Cheesy, but I love old animation. My all-time favorite is the Silly Symphonies Skeleton Dance, from 1929.
