Jeep Man, Wabash Cannonball is an entirely different song. The one you're looking for is usually called "Cannon Ball Blues"; the Carters recorded in in Memphis May 24 1930 where is called "The Cannonball". It's on their Rounder CD "When The Roses Bloom in Dixieland" as is Wabash Cannonball incidently. Woody Guthrie recorded his own version calling it "Dirty Overalls" (L of C). A different song is called that on S/F just to confuse you! The one you're after is called "Baltimore to Washington" on the S/F release. The tune is as you say "McKinley's Gone" and it's also called "Whitehouse Blues". Let me know if you can't find the lyrics from the information I've given and I'll transcribe them from the Carters' record for you . Dr John
