At one time I took a great interest in this unsolved mystery and the conclusion I came to was that the reason it was so difficult to identify JtheR was because there was no such person! My view was that the first two murders were possibly done by Francis Tumblety or someone hoping to sell him uteruses. The third murder was a red herring in that it had no characteristics of a Ripper murder and was statistically to be expected anyway. The fourth murder I thought was a copycat used to stir up anti-Jewish feeling. As for Mary Kelly I thought that was a domestic matter of some kind and she was cut up to make it look like a Ripper murder. Good sleuthing! MJ
