Sorcha, how happy would you be if you'd been bred down to the point where you could live in a small waste basket? As a couple of previous posters noted, they were a good sporting breed until folks started "improving" them. Same goes for the Cocker Spaniel. They've been "improved" to the point where most are neurotic fuzz balls, and those are the good ones. Dave
