GUEST,Q as guest Help: Jug of Punch query-Kerry Pippin? (33) RE: JUG OF PUNCH QUERY 28 Feb 06

Many variations to "Jug of Punch," no way to tell which is the oldest surviving verse with those sentiments. Many old versions lack it altogether.

From The Bodleian Library, pointed out by Nutty some time ago:

O, when I'm dead and laid in the moul,
Oh, it's on my grave put a flowing bowl,
And every one as they pass by
They may drink a glass to my memory.

The native peat version was posted by Nigel as Welsh. Many DT versions could be improved.
