Soo, for those of you interested in this song; it seems the events referred to took place in April 1880. Check out this site for the full story - www.lhdigest.com/Digest/StoryPage.cfm?StoryKey=1936 When I first read the words of the song it seemed to have the ring of truth and I'm pleased to discover some facts that bear this out. Whilst the song does differ from the exact story I think that we can allow the writer some leeway, either for dramatic licience or hazy memory of the events!! Jake
