Paddy McGinty's Goat isn't traditional or Irish, it was written by the great Robert P Weston (1878-1936) & Bert Lee (1881-1946) who wrote most of the Music Hall songs remembered today, including 'With Her Head Tucked Underneath her Arm', 'Brown Boots', 'Goodbye-ee', etc, etc, and then moved on into writing for 1920-30s Revue and films. |
