David Brundage taught himself to play the guitar in his teens and wrote his first song after seeing Leon Redbone perform on Don Kirchner's Rock Concert television show. The song called "I Just Don't Know Where I Belong" was a simple finger style piece that reflected his feelings about wanting to become an artist but fearing the uncertainty that an artists life can bring. Since this time Dave has recorded two CD's and written many more songs the subjects of which range from the emigration of his Irish grandparents, "Plentiful Skies", to cautions against war, "The Traveled Road"; the joy of dancing all night, "Round and Around", and the conflict of emotions that love can be, "Home". Musically his songs are wildly diverse touching on genres such as folk, rock, jazz, blues, traditional Americana, bluegrass, Celtic and rockabilly.

The Dave Brundage Trio is comprised of Dave on vocals, guitar, harmonica and tenor banjo, Ray Murphy on mandolin, banjo-mandolin, and guitar, and Andrew Jameson playing the bodhrán and djembe. The trio can be found playing at pubs and coffee houses in the Bergen County New Jersey and Rockland County New York area. Both Murphy and Jameson are award winning traditional Irish musicians and this collaboration has only continued the discovery process that Brundage is passionate about. "Ray and Andy have been incredibly supportive of my songs and just playing with them raises my level and simultaneously expands my vision of what is possible. It seems that there is always some new thing waiting to be discovered and I feel privileged to be able to be part of that."
