(Tell you the truth, that's the only version of Geordie that I'm familiar with... never heard the one with the hanging.) A big favorite of mine of the happy-ending ilk is one of those cross-dressing hijinks songs: "Jack-A-Roe". Not just happy, hopeful! "This couple they got married, so well did they agree...
