Most of his musical contemporaries were craftsmen, some were opportunists, some were self-righteous and decidedly untalented.....Dylan was a Genius. As for the baby boom factor...early sales of Dylan albums do not support this simplistic and overwrought sociology. Dylans original impact was not on "teenagers' but on those twenty somethings who were born before the baby-boom, many of whom lost a parent or parents to the war. Dylan made sense to these people. |
