GUEST,Veronica Rutledge BS: Vacationing at Shagallotte? (4) BS: Vacationing at Shagallotte? 18 Apr 06

I've been learning to ski! At first it was quite difficult, but I didn't let that dampen my spirits. I persevered and have become an excellent amateur skier, not Olympic class, you understand, but really quite good, I think. Well! With spring weather coming I find I am just itching to try out my new downhill and cross country abilities on fresh snow. Uncle Winston has agreed to fly me to any resort of my choosing anywhere I like. Well! So I had a look at a whole lot of lovely brochures of smashing good places in Switzerland, Austria, the Italian Alps, all over the place, and I came across some promo for a place called "Shagallotte" in Austria. It's a splendid looking lodge in a picturesque mountain location, and it says that they often do films there. I might even get to segue my skiing and other abilities into an acting career, although my aunt Penelople says that being an actress is really a rather common trade, truth be told, and one tends to meet mostly Bohemian types with very irregular lifestyles and dissolute directors and type like that who expect special "favours" and have no respect for women. Well! She may be right about that, I don't know. I do know that Aunt Penelope has had a lot of experience, so I suspect she is at least partially right. Anyway, does anyone know anything about Shagallotte or "The Shagallotte" as it seems to be called? "Shagallotte in the Alps" is their motto. They have it on their crest. It's a prancing mountain goat, rampant upon a pair of snowcapped twin mountain peaks.

It's funny. I'm sure I've heard of this place somewhere before, but I can't think where. The pictures look lovely. Could this be the perfect vacation spot?

Decisions, decisions!

Well, TTFN!
