The egg did disappear at night - when the camera switched to live feed in the morning there was only one egg in the nest. I don't know if the experts running the site will be able to see anything in the overnight tape (I'm guessing they tape at night but don't stream it - doing a rerun of the previous day's tape seems more interesting than watching a slightly lighter spot on a black screen that might be the head of a sleeping eagle).

I think I also read that last year's eggs hatched but the chicks died after a few weeks.
