Is there really such a place as Hull Tortoise Shop? Is it anywhere near the National Cheese Emporium? It's true, they defecate through the tail and it's a milky substance rather like the liquid from a dandelion stalk, though it does not stain so much. Tortoises are the ones with legs like Hughie Gallagher, the great pre-War footballer with Newcastle United. Turtles have legs like Nicky Lauder's ear.
