Yes many a childhood role model has been born for us Brits from within the humble pit of the Eurovision song contest. The plasticism of our young professionals today often echoes the innocent days of our own Bucks Fizz and the wonderful commercialism we live with today. I raise my glass to all those developing Eastern European countries who aspire to drown their populace with the same, holding high the banner of mediocrity. Keeps the riff-raff in their place long into old age. Where would we have been without that people's hero - good old Terry Wogan. A programme truly made for the hard of hearing as far as music goes anyway.
