I have the right to live in a free Britain, so chuffing what? - it is also the right to be forced into wage-labour, exploited, and the opportunity to choose who will adminster the state to oversee capitalism every few years. These rights I will gladly forgoe for needing no rights at all because I am not separated from the means of living, which is what socialism means - common ownership, democratic control of the means of production and free access to every good and service (note that this is a concrete material change in social relations rather than abstract notion).
