The Springsteen album may serve to peak some of the younger set to check out the originalsource of the songs. My reaction to the album is about like some of the comments above---over-kill on the backup music. My first impression was "Word-famous Rock Star Discovers Folk Roots". That really isn't a fair assesment, but it just felt that way to me. (I know that Springsteen, like so many rockers, played some folkish material in the early days and as he learned to play his instrument) He has the voice to do some really fine material. I hope he gives it another shot. None the less, I'll be playing some of the album on my radio show.
