One night in Wilmington, NC my wife and I were awakened from a dead sleep when something on our roof gave out a screech. It was very loud, long and scary as hell! I've heard some pretty strange animal noises in my time and this wasn't one of them. No, I don't know what it was. Neither I nor my wife had any interest in going out to look. If there had been some long hair strands and footprints I'd have been ready to believe it was one of those critters. By the way, Louisiana has a cat(man) monster in her swamps. I heard a similar story in Wilmington, NC.
