Hey Michael. The Cobblestone bar on Smithfield square has live (and very good) traditional sessions every night of the week and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. It's also got weekend gigs: trad. irish bands, old time, singer-songwriters, country... usually a good place to check out. Whelans on Wexford St. is a venue for slightly higher-profile but still mostly "underground" music, but your friends' young daughter wouldn't be allowed in- over 18yrs. only.
