The third ETHNO ENGLAND 1 – 9 July 2006 Riccall, North Yorkshire, England The 3rd annual international folk music camp, Ethno England 2006, is a week long gathering of young musicians, singers and dancers from all over the world aged 16 – 25 years. Ethno England welcomes all instrument, vocal and dance traditions and is an important meeting place for the new generation of musicians who like to teach and learn from musicians from around the world. Ethno England is based on workshops, where participants are encouraged to share the musical traditions of their country by teaching tunes, songs or dances. The teaching and learning is mainly by ear, but written music can be used for support. During the Ethno England week, you have the opportunity to present your own music and the music you have learnt during the week, by participating in some concerts, evening dances and street performances. Ethno England is not a contest or competition, it is an great experience! The closing event of Ethno England 2006 will be at 'Ethno in the Park', a one day free international community music festival in West Park, Goole.
