Barry's original message should come as no surprise. The NLRB appointed by Bush has become nothing more than another weapon in the corporate arsenal. Rather than playing the role of impartial overseer of the nation's labor laws, the NLRB has come up with rules and rulings that make it close to impossible for a union to win an election and become the certified bargaining agent. On the other hand, they have made it easier and easier for management to decertify unions or at least to remove certain workers from the covered bargaining unit.
