Thanks John. Your link was informative in that it gave a name (Two Hornpipes (Tortuga)) in which another link specified that the jig was composed by Hans Zimmer. Countess richard's list is impressive but leaves open the question of how the songs & tunes are 'specifically' relevant to the soundtrack; worth getting just for the compilation. Was 'The Young Tin Whistle Pest' the first to use the term "maggot" for a tune that just went endlessly round?

Concertina players are used to being anachronistic as well as portrayed that way. Sigh!
