Who guards the guards? Who tests the testers? Who examines the examiners? In the past folk music collectors'own taste, preferences and ideas of propriarty and decency dictated what was "OK" and included and what was left unnoted or edited. Who knows what has been lost; songs, tunes and styles. So who is going to draw the line in the sand between right and wrong? Who decides if that the line has been crossed? What are the punishments going to be? Are folk clubs and festivals only going to be able to book "qualified" performers?
