From experience, it's usually pretty quiet on the Friday night - and indeed, I don't think the official Sessions which Mitch talks about above tend to start until at least the Sunday or, even, Monday (led English Sessions also usually in the Fisherman's Rowing Club, Conservative Club and The Fleece - choice of different sessions at 1-3pm and 5-7pm daily. Depending on popularity of the leader, these can get very busy, so get there in good time if you want a seat!).
