I've just received an advance copy of Nelson's Steel Drivin' Man. It is excellent, reflecting an enormous amount of intensive work. I recommend it highly, except that I believe that he vastly overestimates his evidence for John Henry at Lewis Tunnel. I still think the evidence for Dunnavant, Alabama, is much stronger. John
