Further to my plea for musicians earlier this week, I would be hugely grateful to receive details of local-ish Midlands folk nights where I can sing some sad songs and hunt down some musicians! I only know a few clubs, through family friends, and the internet isn't all that helpful in giving me leads. Friendly night recommendations would be preferred - I have been to a couple where if your face isn't known, you won't be asked to sing, I may be young and missing something important, but I don't really understand that...
