A Fledgling (yet Vibrant) Trad Festival

There's a wonderful open-air party and session brewing in Kentucky
(just off of I71 South) for the weekend of September 30th and
October 1st in a rustic setting comprising 117 wooded acres.

The Festival offers a lively (and licensed) pub environment featuring a solid Tradlineup. There will be to two tented live stages running round-the-clock for the duration of the Fest, including:

* Tommy Martin, the uilleann piper and Dublin man
(www.tompipes.com) with his friend Kevin Buckley, fiddle

* Peter Fitzgerald, from Navan in Co Meath - an absolute wizard on
the banjo - with his friend, Martin McCann (flute/whistle) from Co
Tyrone and the boxplayer, Beverly Buchanan.

* Award-winning Scottish-style dancer - Bridget Sousa.

* Turlach Boylan - flute - Here's a web-article about his music: http://www.chiffandfipple.com/turlachboylan.htm

* The high-energy Celtic/Bluegrass fusion music of Louisville-
based "Cloigeann". (Did I mention we're in Kentucky?)

* Lexington favorites, "Liam's Fancy", alongside the Ring
Gaeltachtman -Labhrás Draper & son Brendan.
(www.cdbaby.com/cd/liamsfancy)

favorite son.
