I did intend to put this in at the time but forgot. Some one said earlier on about the ALLEGED victims sueing Peter Kennedy. The no win/no fee arrangement with law firms has, I believe, only been allowed in the UK (and possibly Ireland too) from very recently, the same goes for the small claims courts. Many minor financial disputes (and I think everyone agrees that the actual amounts involved are relatively very small) were never taken to court due to the cost. I would have thought it highly unlikely that any source singer could have afforded to take their case to a solicitor and probably even less likely that a solicitor would be willing to take the case on. If the source did make any noises a 'legal' letter would put most people, and not a few cash poor institutions, off any further action and risk being bankrupted over a few shillings.
