My view is... If a club sells cds at the door, and not JUST the guests cds, then it is at the discretion of the club if they will include the sale of the visting floor singers cds if the cluib sells only the guest cds, then it is at the discretion of the guest. That is for those who turn up to a club, like i have often done 'on spec' A guest at a folk club is tere to make a living, and a person who has been invited tp sing also. A floor singer turning up either does so for the pleasur eof singing, or to build up thier track record. I'm rambling a bit now... but my personal rule of thumb: If the club sells cds at the door, then it is ok for any performer to draw attention to it. If not, then maybe not.... but their is nothing to stop Aa floor singer from saying...this is a song of my xxxxx cd...., then it is up to individuals to approach the performaer to sak if they have any cds. So what I think I am saying is don't undermine the booked artists'/supports'living regards Steve
