Margo O'Donnell, from Kincasslagh, County Donegal, had a hit with "Road By the River" in 1968 when she was with the Keynotes Showband. She has since recorded 3 more versions of that lovely song down through the years. She sings 4 and 5 of the verses. The second version she recorded is now on the CD "Two Sides of Margo" on the Celtic Airs label (Dublin).
