Way further up this thread someone said that the Newcastle Degree was the only such one in the UK. I think that's a bit insulting to the RSAMD (Glasgow)Degree in Scots Music, which I think pre-dates the Newcastle one. The RSAMD programme has produced some highly regarded traditional musicians as well as linking to a teaching qualification. Jack
