One of the problems of living in a very rich and technologically over-advanced country is that we tend to expect instant answers. Instant coffee. Instant frozen dinners. Instant communication. But I seriously doubt we'll get instant answers on this one. Gun control? The gun was a stolen gun, traded for crack at the boy's 'home.'
I am surprised that so little has been said about poverty and its attendant degradations. If once in a while a middle class person is murdered, the murder rate in poorest areas is more on the order of a war zone. For a myriad of reasons … and all based on (enforced) poverty. IMNSHO. Fix that instantly. Anyone?
