PEACE IN ERIN
ballad written and published by Hugh McWilliams from Co. Down in N.I. in 1831
last verse...
'Tis principle that shows the man,
This is the best, the only plan,
And one that I have built upon,
As passing through old Erin.
Then let us at the present day,
Drive prejudice and spleen away,
Far, far beyond the Atlantic sea,
And all shake hands in Erin.
( all of Ireland! )
