What a fantastic weekend that was. Jan and Ken Lardner excelled themselves with this one and the maritime community responded fantastically. Not counting bar singarounds and Stormalong John's Friday night session there were 114 excellent pieces in the 8+ hours concert time and professional or amateur, forebitter or shanty it was all glorious to hear. A fine setting, fine company, many of Stan's own cartoons and paintings, videos of Stan in action, a new Hugill book, 3 generations of Hugill's in arrendance, and the singing. WOW As Jan said this will never happen again and the Hall echoed to the toast "Here's to Stan" It's CFS' 125 birthday next February if anyone want's to try another do LOL
