New member...I could not find anything in the search bases to help me. I am trying to pin down a song from circa late 1960's in the folk-rock-protest vein. I remember the phrase "One of America's favorite pasttimes is..." and then some cynical rhyming cuplets about materialism or greed or war or something, and the next verse opened the same way, "One of America's favorite pasttimes..." with something else that was thought-provoking for its day. I think it was sung by someone like Phil Ochs, but I don't think it was him. Does this sound familiar? Please reply with the name of the song and/or artist. I can search it out from there, I hope.
