I remember we learned the "Rose Rose" words from Jean Ritchie, God bless her, and the "Hey, ho, nobody home" words from someone else--Pete S. maybe? Back in the late 1940s/early '50s. Since I was born in 1943 I wasn't up to asking where they got the songs from. I just loved the sound of their voices and singing what they taught. Tw |
