I have posted a couple of items in reply to Nelson's response to my essay at History News Network. Go to http://hnn.us/articles/31137.html and then click on "Comments" (just below the end of Nelson's response). That will take you to a page with an apparatus for sending in comments. Above that will be a couple of links to my replies, one entitled "On the Trail of the Real John Henry" and the other "Principle of Frequent Crap and Rare Truth."
